feeling numbness or lacking empathy
experiencing unexplainable body pains or achiness
feeling hopeless, helpless or lost
smoking, drinking, or using illicit drugs more than ever before
feeling confusion, forgetfulness, irritability, anger, anxiety, sadness, or fright
constantly fighting or arguing with friends and family
having extreme mood swings that cause relationship problems
having constant flashbacks or thoughts that you can’t get out of your head
hearing voices in your head that you can’t stop
having thoughts of hurting yourself or other people
being unable to carry out day-to-day activities and chores
Psychiatric Assessment
There are no ‘tests’ as such, for mental illnesses. Mental health problems cannot be diagnosed by checking the blood or body fluids of the person experiencing symptoms, as would be the case with a physical health condition such as Heart Disease or Diabetes.
I make a diagnosis using standardized scales to assess the required area of mental health disorder. A detailed report is provided with necessary profiling in an easy language for you to understand.
Developmental Assessment
A developmental assessment for children under age 3 is an attempt to assess various aspects of the child's functioning, including areas such as cognition, communication, behavior, social interaction, motor and sensory abilities, and adaptive skills. Assessment of the family and the child's environment also provides important contextual information.
Importance of Developmental Assessment:
help identify possible developmental problems and the need for further diagnostic evaluation
provide an objective description of the child's abilities and deficits (a functional assessment)
determine eligibility for programs (such as early intervention programs)
aid in planning for appropriate interventions

Career Counselling
Career development is more than just deciding on a major and what job you want to get when you graduate. It really is a lifelong process, meaning that throughout your life you will change, situations will change, and you will continually have to make career and life decisions. The goal of Career Counseling is to not only help you make the decisions you need to make now, but to give you the knowledge and skills you need to make future career and life decisions.
Who Needs Career Counselling?
“I have no idea what I want to do with my life.”
“I don’t know what to major in.”
“I’ve narrowed it down to a couple career options, but I’m having a hard time choosing between them.”
“I know what I want to major in, but I have no idea what I want to do once I graduate.”
“I know what I want to do, but I’m not sure what the best major would be.
“I want to know what kinds of jobs I can get with my major.”
“I don’t feel like I know enough about all the different careers out there to know what I want to do.”
Parent Management Training (PMT)
Parent management training (PMT) is an adjunct to treatment that involves educating and coaching parents to change their child's problem behaviors using principles of learning theory and behaviour modification. The aim of PMT is to decrease or eliminate a child's disruptive or inappropriate behaviors at home or school and to replace problematic ways of acting with positive interactions with peers, parents and such authority figures as teachers. In order to accomplish this goal, PMT focuses on enhancing parenting skills.
